  1. I simply focus on a bit of grass right behind of ball and let the ball get in way of good stroke. If I do it correctly I see a faint shadow of where ball was!!!
  2. I use my my lines (I use the 3 line marker) very precisely when putting so I only have to think about speed, but "approximately" off the tee. I use off the tee as I'm right eye dominant and have a tendency to line up closed if not careful on an ongoing basis.

  4. I use the same alignment aid that Victor uses, it helps me.

I only use a green dot that I added with a sharpie on my golf ball to align when I putt. I look at my my intended line on the greens and then concentrate on striking my putter on that dot with the correct speed and stroke.
  6. I do not use an alignment aid. I have never been able to easily align the ball. I place it down with the line where I think it should be but then when I get over the put it looks off to me. So I don’t use them and frankly I think they should be banned. People waste a lot of time on the green trying to get their alignment just right….and then the putt 10 feet short! It wastes time and slows down the game.

My knees are so bad I could never get a line set up on the proper path so I like to putt with a blank side up
  8. For me the line on a ball is just too short to matter much. I’d rather pick a spot some distance out. There’s really zero chance that I’ll align the line the up correctly anyway.
  9. I do not use an alignment marks. And, I usually get annoyed playing with anyone that does. Most of the time, they fiddle with the ball longer than they take to read the putt. I wish the USGA and R&A would make them illegal. If you cannot lay an alignment stick down or have someone stand behind and line your shot, why can you use an alignment mark on the ball?

I use mine only on the green. Have for years. Mostly on my longer putts. Feel okay without it on 3 ft and in. I use the Tp5 c pix and they come with the alignment aid built in.

Yes! Please make a ProV1 with a nice bold line like Hovland uses so I don’t have to use a Sharpie!

I really like the enhanced Pro V1 but it wasn't available in Canada when I custom ordered my Pro V1's in April.
  13. I'm blind in one eye which constitutes a problem with alignment and depth perception both when putting for direction and distance. A line on my ball helps tremendously when putting. As far as lining up when striking the ball, a line across my toes works fine.
  14. The titleist logo text works great and it's what i've been using off the tee and on the green for 20+ years, drawing on the ball is gnarly and I don't generally like it

Using the latest Taylor Made TP5 logo balls as a test has been very interesting, i do like the visual of their pattern on the putting green. Makes it much easier to see the curves of the green as the ball rolls, would be interested to see a ProV1 take on this.
  15. I just use the ProV1 stamp when lining up putts.

I like the alignment marks just because it is a confidence booster standing over the ball. If I have aligned the ball on the correct line, square the putter face to the lines on the ball and put a good stroke on the put, the ball goes in the hole.

I used to have a mean hook with my driver. I use the alignment aid to face in a little bit like I would hit a fade. Really helped me straighten out, and not it's just habit.
  18. I have tried to use a line to help get the putt started but it just doesn't work in my head. I have found more success focusing on a spot within a few inches of the ball on the intended line and starting the putt over that. But that's just me. Whatever works for you in putting, practice, practice, practice. And hitting a dozen putts right before you tee off is not really practice.

I go over the side marking with a Sharpie. On long or breaking putts, I use it about half the time. But on putts 2-10 feet, lining it up to the path is part of my routine.

I have a single line on my Odyssey White Hot #5 putter and I use that line to line up to my target spot that I want the ball to travel over. That is easy for me!
