I've watched it a few times now. Fun concept when the guys are into it and jabbing one another.

The blow outs are the real problem. When teams are behind there has to be a way for them to get back into it. I think they have to adjust the 'hammer' aspect and give it to a team when/if down by 2 points so they have a chance. This past week, the one team just held it so the other team couldn't use it - not good for viewing.

Dale's comment from a couple weeks ago is ringing more true now - really surprised they have adjusted to the turf by now, especially chipping. Watching them putt is how I feel on my backyard green = "wait... where did they break come from".
Bummer Tiger and Rory are TM guys, otherwise Bob Vokey and Aaron Dill would be in there to help the guys get it figured out.

May also need to adjust the number of holes format for viewing purposes. They probably don't need 9 holes of alt shot format.

Just my few cents.... enjoy the journey!

We have a Sim league at a local club once a month, it's fun, but the novelty is wearing off. Can't imagine TGL lasting more than 1 season though, but I do enjoy Tiger leaving it in the bunker every week. Chipping/putting on artificial grass has to be tricky though, even for those guys that are used to playing on carpet.
  3. I have no interest in it. Watching the Tour events, Thursday-Sunday, is enough. This might be an unpopular opinion, but with DP World Tour, PGA, LIV, and LPGA, and now TGL, golf may be over saturating the market.
  4. I have watched parts of two events. I am impressed with the technology; however, I don't find the actual play interesting.

I like the personal interaction between the players and they seem to be having fun. Just doesn't seem like a competitive atmosphere.

As an older golfer it is difficult to get into this. I do believe newer and younger golfers will find this more intriguing.

I do like the shot clock and venue should be made available to the general public and they will find a sea amateurs going down to play in the venue.

I won't be one of them.

I watched about 5 minutes and thought it was boring. Have not returned to watch anymore.

Watched a few holes and it just did not hold my interest. Sure there are a lot out there who enjoyed them hit into a screen and play on artificial turf. Not for everybody. What are it's chances of surviving? 50/50. =)

I have enjoyed watching it. Has a few bugs to work out. When the scoring tightens up the better it gets.

I like it. It's not for everyone. I wish they would play real (or realistic) courses that put them in positions to hit different shots. So far, it's really just been watching pros hit stock shots into a massive screen.

As a launch monitor/simulator nerd, I was never a fan of Full Swing's product line. TGL has reinforced that tenfold. I know that the army of units that they use are not the retail version, but the misreads are laughable compared to Foresight and Trackman, for example. Tiger flying a green by 30 yards with a flip wedge, we all know is not happening. Tommy's mishap was the most glaring. I do understand though, that there is exactly ZERO launch monitor in existence that is perfect.

It really says something that the guys had their GC Quads out for their practice rounds to see what the difference in data was.

With all that said, again, I do like the TGL product. It's new, there's going to be some growing pains. It's not regular tournament golf, but it's fun. I would love to go to a live event.

I have enjoyed it.. Not sure I would watch as we come out of winter around here, but it has been fun to watch them in a different, more relaxed setting. Is it as good as watching them in a tournament ? No.. But on nights when we normally don't get golf on TV and I don't feel like watching the NBA or college basketball - it has been a really nice alternative. The set-up with the massive screen has been fun to watch and you can tell it has taken them a bit to get used to as well.
  10. I think it is much more entertaining than expected. I love the shot clock, the holes are unique and we get to hear players personalities a little bit more than during a Tour event. The Full Swing launch monitors make sense due to Tigers sponsorship, but Trackman/Foresight monitors have been proven to be more accurate during testing. It was interesting seeing guys warming up with their GC Quad to compare the two. That is really the only "negative" aspect to me, the product is still great but there is always a way to make it better.
I would do anything to be able to play a round in that facility, one of the coolest things I have seen. I think it will only get better as the season develops and the players get more comfortable in the environment.
    Great alternative, and very entertaining.

I have watched the matches so far, and next Monday has a triple-header scheduled. I may not watch live, but I'll watch from a DVR when convenient. I like the aspect that it isn't a two or three minute walk to the ball before the next shot is struck. Think about watching the finals of the tour's match play event or the US Am finals, there is so much down time between shots. This keeps the action going, especially with the time clock.

I am unsure of the actual 'green'. Does the undulation actually change, or is it simply that the angles change as it rotates?

It is interesting to hear some of the interaction and 'trash talk' that you wouldn't get in a typical tour event. I wonder how convenient it is for some of the players to travel to FL at different dates? They don't all live locally (or, do they?).
  12. I wasn’t impressed with it. Sorry just my opinion.

I personally like it. Most of the matches have been blowouts far so we haven't seen any real drama yet. My favorite part is they can have very unique courses

Agreed, the courses are VERY unique!

But not in reality. They are indoors without wind or rain and hitting from a flat tee area to the exact same green on every hole. The only thing that really changes is the hole location.
  16. I think it’s a little too gimmicky. I enjoy watching these guys show their talents on a real golf course but not as Reality TV entertainers.

I’ve watched every week and have enjoyed it. Sure, I’d rather watch real golf, or play golf…but this is a great option for a Tuesday evening. I even picked up some gear for The Bay Golf Club. It’s definitely more entertaining if it’s close, but so far only the Tiger vs. Rory matchup was close. Either way, I’ll keep watching it.

It's golf on a Monday or Tuesday. Days that don't normally have live golf. The more golf the better in my mind. Don't really want to watch the replays of the previous weekend tourneys on the Golf Channel unless I didn't see get to see it live. More than likely TGL won't survive more than a season or two anyway. Might as well watch it while we have it.

Not a fan. I prefer to watch the Pros on a real course.
I do like the shot clock. The PGA could mount the shot clock on the Standard Bearer?

I have not really given it a chance, but honestly, I have very little interest in simulator golf.

Interesting concept and looks like fun, but I loose interest quickly and flip back and forth to see the finish.
