    Dear TT Members

I was fortunate enough to test the Concept Bag which is a slightly smaller type stand bag. It is made of a shiny silvery/white material which seems hard wearing and does not 'mud up' too badly. The bag has plenty of pockets, certainly enough to stash my winter gloves, hat and bits as the days have warmed up whilst playing. The large bottom pocket is reachable when wearing the bag on both shoulders to access balls/tees etc. There were a couple of little niggles with the bag but these have been fed back to David. I only carry 11 clubs and the weight was fine for a full round, I am in my early 60's and did not feel at any time that I needed a trolley. Would I buy this bag ? Yes ! For those that don't carry 14 clubs it will be perfect, those that do might want to look at the larger carry bags. There has been no wear showing on the back pads and the zips have worked well, I look forward to carry on testing it however I don't foresee any issues.

    Hi Nick,

From your description I think we tested the same bag. I had 14 clubs in it and weight wise it was fine. Like you, I have provided feedback to David and am also sad to see her go.
Hopefully the when the bag is released it is enjoyed by others and we can enjoy the knowledge we had a very small part in its evolution!!

    All the best

    Hi all,
Apologies for being late to post but I wanted to have the discussion first which has now taken place.
Like the others I was fortunate enough to be selected as a bag tester for which I’m very greatful.
I was asked to test a new standbag which dusky arrived and was quite light although a colour that at first I was unsure about (minor detail) but has since grown on me and I do really like now.

Having given my feedback I learned that there was a second identical bag being tested and the feedback was very similar which was pleasing as it meant we both gave some valid and constructive points to hopefully improve the bag for its final release version.
I’ve addd some pictures below for you to see it.

Thanks again Luke and Matt for allowing me and those others selected to be a small part of this process!!

These are prototypes to try different configurations, this particular bag only has 1 ring, 1 handle on the back with 2 grip holders on the front of the two main front pockets which is great for loading in the car, I believe more changes are on the way for the next batch of prototypes once the feedback process is complete.

I hope so because so far because its does look and sound similar to last years model. Are the front valuable pockets any bigger? I could barely get my hands in mine. and the edges were really rough on the zip. I see the bag-tag is still hovering above the brolly slot. Im looking at some of the pics finding it hard to see any massive difference really other than layout and position of the pockets although the front ones do look slightly bigger. Did any of the testers' bags come with rain hoods? I think the Rainhood on the 2018 deluxe was very flimsy, It was good that it had 2 zips but really isnt the thickest material. A Premium Bag should have a Premium Rainhood aswell, possible slightly padded or certainly alot thicker.

One piece of feedback I have for Titleist regarding the carry bags (although I’m not testing these) is that whilst I play right handed I am actually left handed and would prefer it if all the pockets, fixtures, padding, etc, were reversed so I could carry the bag with the club heads to my left.

Whilst I appreciate that I can swap the straps round - I can’t move the position of the umbrella, bag tags and towel and it makes it uncomfortable to carry the bag this way especially if I have waterproofs, jumper, etc in the big pockets.

There may not be much demand but I would definitely have bought one when I bought my current bag if a mirror option was available.
  7. Love the fact Titleist get regular Joe's to test their bags.

Gets all the everyday problems we face out the way before they go out into the market just seems like such a smart move.

    Hi Matt,
I've used the 2018 4UP stadry bag for four months, its now on its way back to the retailer I bought it from because the fabric has worn through just above the hip support pad. I expect they'll return it to Titleist some time next week.

I used this bag for around 20 or so rounds and found it had some good positive improvements over the 2017 model but sadly had a few issues with it, if you drop me an email I'll provide further details.

    regards

    David

    HI Matt & Luke,

This threat has been online now for some months.
Last year we got introduced to the bag testers. We completed the test.

I spoken I think it was Matt himself for the test results.
I've got informed that in JUNE 2019 the same testers getting another sample bag to test.

This way best to compare/ to give feedback to.
We are passing the 2nd week of JUNE. And I'm just wondering if the bag testers still getting the 2nd try / test bags for testing?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Happy swings,

    Bart

Wow really I guess that does make sense.

Would be nicer to give other people a chance though but I understand the reasons.

Only way to make sure Titleist send out the best bags.
  11. That is also my recollection of the telephone interview. Although can't recall if it was going to be the original bag or an updated prototype that we would be receiving

    That was my understanding also.
I think the second bag would be the revised bag based on the feedback given.

Would be nice to see what changes have been made though to the prototypes we tested.
  13. I was told a similar thing. We would be sent updated versions of the bags we had each tested. That way it would be a natural progression.

    Team Titleist,

The Gear department have just been to see me to ask if we could help with testing some development golf bags…anyone interested in helping out…???

There are nine bags (split between cart and stand) that need testing. Testers will need to log the bags performance over the winter then complete a survey and conduct a short phone interview at the end of January.

After the testing is compete, the bag will be theirs to keep.

If you are interested, comment below with the type of bag you would like to test, CART or STAND.

I will pick nine testers at random on 5th December.

Obviously you will need to play golf over winter…so no fair weather golfers please ;)

    Thanks
    Matt

    Stand Bag please!
  22. A lot of you need to read through all of this thread as the bags have already been allocated to those people and they are waiting on re-designed version to review the changes.

The suspense was excruciating but I did liked the idea of potentially being pick to test a bag for this awesome company.

    Hi Matt
I would love to test a Stand Bag please,
I have had each stand/Staff bag since 2010, so I will have positives and negative I am sure.
