A massive thank you to Matt, Luke and the titleist team for giving me the opportunity to test the new staydry cart bag,
Wow what a stunning bag, it actually matches my Gokart trolley perfectly so is the one I would have bought with the black and red colours, it has 9 pockets so I think it is similar to the current staydry deluxe version without the magnetic pocket, there is bags of space (excuse the pun) with lots of detail including mesh pockets inside some of the pockets, lots of grab handles make it easy to pick up/ load into the car etc, there is also a detachable shoulder strap if I'm only going to the range or practice area, love the dedicated putter slot for my Scotty and the umbrella slot is perfect for my gustbuster ( I know it's not titleist yet waiting for family to ask what I want for my birthday). Although only 14 holes for clubs the the back two are large enough for my 4 woods so releasing 2 for my ball retriever and alignment sticks, not sure if the configuration of clubs is the final choice yet will try out tomorrow in the senior winter league, only slight negative points so far are the cart strap goes across the main apparel pocket zips so restricting easy access though it's not a big problem as zip pullers will go under the strap and the paint paint job on the top cuff is already scuffed out of the box, not sure how this will hold up over time when dropping clubs in, overall first impressions absolutely superb bag, will take it out on the course tomorrow and more comments when I can, once again thanks to the titleist team, we really are a lucky bunch to be able to interact directly with the people who make the best golf products in the world.

The current deluxe cart bag doesnt have magnetic pocket. Disappointed to hear about the strap getting in the way. Looks like the brolly slot has been moved but looks like not enough. Is there any extra tag rings? I think a premium bag should have atleast 2, or moved to the other side so your towels or tags dont hang over the umbrella. Does it still have just the one handle on the back still. An extra handle on the front would make it so much easier unloading into the car when using side doors.

Having the woods at the bottom is just wrong on so many levels haha I know it’s personal preference but it just screams hacker to me

I agee....The bags are sloped and designed for long clubs at the top and shorter clubs towards the bottom. The bag balances better. Bass ackwards screams hacker for sure.

I Like the colours of the bag and looks like plenty of room for gear. Is there a bottle/drinks holder ? My stadry Cart Bag hasn’t got one but my carry bag has.
I also prefer the Woods next to the putter and irons towards the trolley(personal choice)
Great bag for you to test

Blair I am a hacker at 18.5 lol, not settled on configuration yet first game with it tomorrow, would be interested to know yours and others set ups
  9. I play with the woods set up at the top of the bag, like to work down in order of size. Keep my 4 vokeys at the lower end of the bag. I currently have the tour staff stand bag. A Great bag with that tour look (without the weight)

  10. Just swap your putter and woods around - Go from Hacker to Scratch lol
  11. I don't think your configuration can be that wrong - If you loaded up a buggy, yours is the better option. If the woods were next to the putter pit, and so on down the bag, you would be hard pressed to access your wedges!!

I have done all sorts of configurations to suit the trolly including arranging the woods down one side rather than top or bottom. I must admit I've never had the woods across the centre... yet...
All this probably means that I'm a confused, conflicted, chaos theory hacker... Oh well...

Gaaary, there is no drinks holder that I can see, there is a drinks/cool pocket which is lined,
Played today starting out with the woods at the putter end of the bag and found I was having to look under the woods to find the irons which was not good, changed back to my original way after three holes, looks like I'm going to stay a hacker for now anyway, bag was great, if I could make a design change I would add an extra cart strap holder just above the top pocket as straps on mine cover the main pocket zips, if strap went above pocket It would be level, or even a lip to stop strap ridding up onto putter well, this could just be my particular trolley (Gokart 1), so far very impressed with the layout of pockets, plenty of room for all my gear, loving this bag.

Guys, it is good that you share your thanks to Titleist for being selected and your experiences with your fellow TT members. Most say nothing for Titleist generosity. Just sayin'. Enjoy those great new bags. Cheers, Chuck.....
  15. Wow that pink and grey look insane I love it haha. Shame I didn't end up with that would of been over the moon.

Thanks for all your pics and reviews so far I think the cart bags look really nice in design and the pocket combinations look good to me.
  16. The bags we received are prototypes and subject to further possible changes before being released in 2020.

I was a late addition to the testing. The bag I received is the same one as T Fisher and appears to be a possible new version of Stay Dry Deluxe.
The benefits I have noticed over my standard Stay Dry Cart bag:

    1) Full length dividers
    2) Better sized putter well
    3) Better thought out pockets with bigger openings
    4) For a cart bag it is really light

The only downside I see at the moment is that the red handles feel more plastic than on my other bag and they have chipped slightly where the clubs have hit them - probably when loading into the car.

Overall though, an excellent bag and a definite improvement on my current one.

Also have my call tomorrow. Provided some feedback above, and answered the surveys that have been sent.

Interested to hear more about my bag, as it seems to be neither a Players4 or a Players4 Plus

  21. Saw the post and got excited then remembered it was from last year!

  22. The Titleist 4up bags are the best bags Titleist have ever made
  23. I found mine right for club space so opted for the 14 way, prefer to have individual slots- my friend finds the same, may get bag tubes and try that?

I’ve just had my feedback discussion with David, regarding the cart bag prototype I was sent to test.
It was a very interesting conversation and it is great to know that I’ve played a small part in ensuring that the final design will meet all the needs of anyone buying a cart bag, which in the U.K. really translates to a trolley bag.
I’ve attached some pictures of the bag, which was a 15-way model. A putter slot and 14 separate divisions in the main part of the bag, allowing a separate slot for alignment sticks.
Not my choice of colours as I prefer the classic Titleist ‘Staff’ look, but the colour options are just part of the review process and further development will be made in this area before release.
Plenty of positives about the bag and some negatives, which will all be used to improve the design before release.
It will be fascinating to see how the Testerrs’ comments and feedback are used to improve the design...

Echoed. Had a good chat with David, and good to hear my very first thoughts on the bag I received were correct!
Only a couple of things I really recommended with mine, as I actually think it was fairly solid out the box...just some tweaks to make it really solid.

If it hits the market with the tweaks I mentioned...i’d probably buy it!

    Team Titleist,

The Gear department have just been to see me to ask if we could help with testing some development golf bags…anyone interested in helping out…???

There are nine bags (split between cart and stand) that need testing. Testers will need to log the bags performance over the winter then complete a survey and conduct a short phone interview at the end of January.

After the testing is compete, the bag will be theirs to keep.

If you are interested, comment below with the type of bag you would like to test, CART or STAND.

I will pick nine testers at random on 5th December.

Obviously you will need to play golf over winter…so no fair weather golfers please ;)

    Thanks
    Matt

Stand bag please, I currently use the staff stand bag

Had my chat with David on Friday afternoon and it would seem that we have all picked up similar issues or comments. I did raise a couple of different comments but in general, as with all Titleist equipment the quality was top class.

  32. Well the test bag I have been using is all ready for collection and I have to say I am Sorry to see it go!
While it was not perfect with a few tweaks needed as stated by other testers, it was not far away from being a top class bag which would give years of good service
I played about25/30 rounds with it and it is as good as new

Sadly because I was using it my son took my TT stadry carry bag with him back to uni so I will have to now buy another bag to get through the winter!!!
