It's hard to believe, but this week we'll be hitting our very last shots of the 2018 golf season. It was a memorable year for our community, and we certainly had a great deal to be thankful for. (Click here to check out Abby's recent post that includes some of our favorite memories from the past season.)

But as 2018 winds down, it's also a great time to look ahead, with a new season on the horizon and plenty of new hills left to climb. So we'd like to hear from all of you and learn about your goals and plans for the New Year. Vote for one of the options in the quick poll below and add a comment to share what you'll be doing to make this season even better than the last.

Finally break 70 with my new AP3’s.
  5. I plan to play more competitive Senior golf events in Missouri and around the country. Time to really go test my game along with meeting other players.
  6. Win a few tournaments, and capture my senior am points championship.

  7. As I approach the grips of winter I’m going to take some lessons so I hit the ground running in the Spring. Winters seems so much colder and longer as I age and I want to not take months to get my “groove” back.
  8. Get a few lessons to improve my swing and work on flexibility.
  9. I haven’t broken 90 but once in tournament play, I will this year. I have decided to take my Driver out of the bag, and go with a 3W. Resting my Titleist 915 Driver and using the new Titleist 917 3W should help with accuracy and a little loss of distance but playing from the fairways will help more. Golfing in December in Az.
  10. I’m with the fitness and flexibility as well. Would also love to just get out more and breathe in the game. At 59 it’s still a great day when I get out and play. A great day for sure.

Working on getting my handicap down to a 7 this year. I’m currently a 11. Last year I was a 16 so I think I can do it. I have changed my club setup and I think I’ll get some lessons this year as well.

Back in late September I underwent a Stem Cell Transplant in the battle against Lukemia. My goal for 2019 is to get back playing the game I love. The smell of fresh cut grass, dew on the ground and gentle breezes are all things I look forward to enjoying again. Oh yes, and maybe a well struck shot now and then.
  14. My goal for 2019 is to practice as much as I play. Work hard on my short game and lower my handicap.

I wanted to Graduate from the Golf Academy of America in April then try and get a great job at Titleist however, the Campuses closed for good and I had only one Semester left. Do the only other School I can attend being one hour away I now have to give up my Dream and try to find a job. That hurts, but such is life!!!!

    Hey JJ

With only 1 semester left don't give up your dream. Find another golf school in your area or drive the hour. Do something other than quit. Good Luck.

I love to play golf with people who enjoy the camaraderie, the beauty of the scenery, and the joy of hitting a beautiful shot,
