    Shoot my age.
  2. I’m hoping to be able to play golf again after a one year layoff due to back fusion surgery and having both knees replaced.

I believe golf is mainly about consistency and rhythm. I am going to make some tweaks, practice a little more, and shave strokes off my putting and chipping game. I would rather play consistent and fun golf then to worry about what my handicap is, although I do like to keep my handicap between 5 and 7. I am very consistent with my Titleist 917D3 Driver, but I would like to try the TS2 or TS3 drivers. My father always taught me to be competitive and have fun. I think we all play better when we are having fun! LOL
  4. Practice more of the things the pro teaches
  5. Definitely play more golf!

    Happy Holidays, Team Titleist!

It's hard to believe, but this week we'll be hitting our very last shots of the 2018 golf season. It was a memorable year for our community, and we certainly had a great deal to be thankful for. (Click here to check out Abby's recent post that includes some of our favorite memories from the past season.)

But as 2018 winds down, it's also a great time to look ahead, with a new season on the horizon and plenty of new hills left to climb. So we'd like to hear from all of you and learn about your goals and plans for the New Year. Vote for one of the options in the quick poll below and add a comment to share what you'll be doing to make this season even better than the last.

Making my short game even better!!!!!!
  7. Coming off a rehab year. I just want to be able to get out more this year.

i would like to get my buddy's in more tournaments and play better
  12. Re-dedicate time to short-game work. 30 years ago (much younger & better player), I spent a lot of time working on short shot execution. Over the years, I've gotten away from that aspect of practice, and... It shows the most.
  13. Shoot my age of 79. And maybe a club fitting.
  14. I turn 50 in 2019. My goals include keeping doing what I am doing now as well as making more routines stick. Golf is a game of routines and having fun doing it. Looking good doing it is another thing! Feeling good, well, that’s undeniable.
In these drought seasons In which golf courses either go bone dry or belly up, or are the beneficiaries of a good local golf crowd and water, who would have thought that into the new year we are still swinging the sticks and have had our shorts and polos on? It feels like the game hasn’t ended this year and is moving into the next year as seem less as possible.

I love Competing in local and regional events against the best amateurs in the area and making the most of the experience, growing and having fun. Golf at 50 is looking better and better as those opportunities in my new age group and future events present some exciting new tournaments for me.

Having fun is the key to everything in life , in love, at play and at work. Golf allows for all sorts of skill levels, and our ability to have fun and concentrate makes for an interesting game. If only we could concentrate more, knowing that’s the rough part, though having fun is set aside from that. It’s that simple: have fun and your ability to concentrate becomes wide open.

On the other hand, try to concentrate to hard and forget what fun it was learning what makes it swing, rock and roll. The fun is in growing and learning and experiencing. Naturally it’s easy to be on the golf course and not working. Having more fun is always a good goal keeping it in perspective and moving forward.
  15. Fix some long time swing flaws and swing misunderstandings so I can sustainably lower my handicap.
  16. My goal this year is to take golf lessons to implement some tweaks to my game, and with some changes be able to lower my handicap.

Another goal of mine will be to keep my swing active throughout the winter months in Chicago.
  18. Currently ranked 3rd in the country in Senior Amateur golf, recieved your new prototype ball in October finished 1st very first tournament, followed by 2 7 th place finishes would love to have more balls Thanks Steve
  19. Get back to playing more competitive golf

Though the main benefit I get from playing is time with good friends, my competitive side strives to better each time I play. That said the better I stay in shape the easier it is to play well. Lastly I look forward to playing and practice more as I get closer to retirement. Best wishes to all in the year to come.
